
Whew, what a year! Records tumbling everywhere! 36 Qld Oppy riders (Record), 8 Qld Oppy teams (Record), 4 Petit Oppy teams, 49 total riders!
The Oppy started in SEQ on 23th March, 2019 and both the Qld Record and All Female Qld Record were broken:
T600B: 611 km, Matthew Locker(c), Paul Newman, Frederik Vekeman, Richard Watson
Oppytune: 366 km, Ruth Brown(c), Tara Horner, Sharon Jewell
Moving on to a cyclone safe, but still wet, FNQ Oppy on the 18th May, 2019 and both records were then re-broken:
Cirque de sore legs: 620 km, Paul Brown, Lincoln Carolan, Darren Cousins(c), Ken Dyson, Graham Jensen
The Third Extreme: 370 km, Mary Ann Allen, Tara Horner, Nola Kerswell, Gayle Sticher(c), Jane Wilmott

This was also the shortest time that a the Qld Record and All Female Records have been held (2 Records).
The first Qlder to complete 2 Oppys in the one year (Tara Horner, Record).
The first time a Qld Oppy team has > 600 km (Record).
And finally, the first time that a Petit Oppy has been completely on dirt (Record):
Hudirt Knobbymen: 182 km, Justin Bennett(c), Peter Jenkins, Scott McCarthy
