Where-I-bee Meredith 150

Audax Theme

Challenging climbs and magnificent scenery. I was fortunate to have the good company of Robert Wilkinsion. The designated Depart/Finish is Railway Place, Werribee Railway Station. The outward trip is around the North side of the You Yangs. Most people only see the South side but the North side is worth the effort. Lots of wild flowers, rocky outcrops and duck ponds. The “featured image” was taken between Durdidwarrah and Meredith on the outbound journey, when you see these rocks get ready for some climbing. At Meredith there is a General Store/Post Office where you can collect a stamp. On the way back there is some more climbing and a stop at the Anakie General Store/Post Office where you can collect another stamp. Then there is a relatively flat ride, a spot of easy gravel and a climb up the You Yangs “Turntable Drive”. The top of “Turntable Drive” there are toilets. It’s a quick ride down the turntable and short trip from there to the Little River General Store for another stamp and  a brew before the final push to the finish. Not the easiest of 150’s but well worth the effort.
