Over $100,000 was raised for Rare Ovarian Cancer research from our dedicated cyclists, volunteers and their supporting communities; an amazing result exceeding expectations! Their time, energy, determination & commitment is truly appreciated.
To complete these rides is an extraordinary achievement. But what makes it even more special is why we did it: to raise awareness & vital funds for rare ovarian cancer research standing beside the women, girls & families affected by this disease. As Associate Professor Simon Chu has shared “In the lab, we are trying to bring the same determination, persistence & effort that you have shown on the road – one step at a time, one experiment at a time, one discovery at a time.”
The fact that, across these rides (R4R 22,24 & 26) more than $500,000 has now been raised by our cycling community is simply extraordinary. These are crucial dollars for the research efforts of Associate Professor Simon Chun & the Hudson Institute of Medical Research. This vital research allows questions to be asked that otherwise may not be asked, to generate data that otherwise may not exist & to push forward in the fight against rare ovarian cancer. The hope this provides our Survivor Sisters & their loved ones is immeasurable.
