Today was Shayne’s Midwinter Classic. For mid winter we had glorious weather… sunshine (21c) and little wind. Joined by John and Ivan early on they left us near Meadows and Clarendon respectively. Div started later but ended up catching us in Woodside (107 kms) notwithstanding some very annoying tyre issues. With vm 2300 climbing and various gravel stints, it was a slowish average speed, leading to a post 4pm finish. All in all a good and solid day of riding. The next ride on the calendar is my Barossa & Hills Ramble coming up in July.
