Perth Albany Perth 1200km organiser’s released the route details for the 2014 event being held in October. “Leaving South Perth at 5am, we soon pick up the cycle path heading south for 60km of traffic free riding.

Loads of ocean views at Mandurah, Bunbury & Bussleton, before turning inland towards Nannup. This is the start of your tall timber experanice which takes you through Pemberton, Shannon National park, Walpole & Denmark.

Albany has a couple of surprises instore. If I told you what they were they would not be surprises now, would they! Chester Pass road gives up it’s views of The porongurup’s & The Stirling Ranges as you now start the journey back to Perth. Farming and wheat country from here through Gnowangerup, Katanning, Wagin & Williams. Rolling hills up to Dwellingup are rewarded by the long down hill in to the control at Pinjarra. The hills are done!

70km of cycle path takes you all the way back to the finish at the South Perth Bowling Club, where there will a host of welcoming volunteers to feed, water [Beer -Ed] and tell you how good you look!”
