Tasmanian Oppy – Saturday 21 March

If this event interests you, start thinking about putting together a team as soon as possible. You’ll need to come up with a route and send it to the event organiser prior to the event and arrange accommodation etc.

Note: We have 1 member who has expressed an interest. If there are 2 more, you’ve got a team! Reply to this email to be put in touch with that member.

The Tasmanian Opperman is an event where teams of 3 to 5 Audax members create routes to cycle to Hadspen, Tasmania near the Launceston Airport. Teams can choose to start and finish in Hadspen or start in a different location and finish in Hadspen.

For example, a mainland team may choose to start in Devonport, when they get off the ferry or a Hobart team may choose to start in Hobart. But everyone must finish in Hadspen.

Routes must be a minimum of 360 km and must meet Fleche Opperman rules: https://audax.org.au/feature-ride/the-oppy/

We welcome riders from Tasmania, the mainland, and around the world to form or join a team and cycle parts of northern Tasmania together.

Finish Location: Hadspen IGA, Main St
