Audax WA February 2021 Newsletter
Welcome to Australia’s Long Distance Cycling Club

Date: 09-02-2021

Welcome to Audax WA's February Newsletter.

We were very fortunate that the recent COVID-19 lock down finished two hours before the B'stard Randonee rides started on 5 February.  Thanks to Nick for modifying the routes to conform with the COVID restrictions. Those participating were not so fortunate with the weather conditions though,  battling 60-70km/hr winds at times.

For the moment all cyclists must carry a mask to pop on when stopped. This restriction will hopefully be lifted at 12.01am 14 February just in time for our next ride.

During the recent Audax WA Annual General Meeting (AGM), the Committee was re-elected unopposed and Ed Pley was appointed to the Committee.  Thanks for volunteering Ed!  So the Audax WA Committee is President - Gary Peakall, Secretary & Treasurer - Ryan Bath, Brevet Secretary & Calendar Coordinator - Nick Mandoki, and Committee Members - Perry Raison, Glenn Mitton, Murray Lang, Julie Kenworthy, Ed Pley.

The next newsletter will include feedback from the AGM as well as quarterly rider stats and achievements.

Perth-Albany-Perth 2022

The 2022 Perth-Albany-Perth Committee was recently formed with Perry Raison as Committee Chair, Wayne Hickman as the Ride Organiser, and Gary Peakall the initial Committee Member.  Further volunteers are needed so if interested, please get in contact.
