************************************************************************* REGISTRATION PORTAL - coming very soon. Please note: All those on the provisional start list have a GUARANTEED place. All those not yet on the starttlist are on the waitlist (in order of contacting me). Please accept my apologies if I have not got back to you. I am driving the route again this weekend, amongst other things to see if I can squeeze some extra beds in. I will be in contact with everyone next week. Thanks Nick ************************************************************************* START & FINISH locations - both confirmed to be in South Perth. Start - on the South Perth foreshore, at the carpark at the east end of South Perth Esplanade. Finish - at the South Perth Bowling Club (cnr Mill Pt Rd & Mends St) where there will be a wind up party from 1pm till midnight. ************************************************************************* ACCOMMODATION - I will post various options available in the next couple of days ************************************************************************* Feb 2010: The first test ride of the new course has just been successfully completed by the organizer & a couple of his cronies. The route is rather dry at the moment, but the road surfaces were really good throughout, traffic volumes low and navigation straightforward. Slight simplifications have been made to route in Albany and the exact finish location has yet to be confirmed. *************************************************************************** Oct 2009: The route has been substantially altered from previous editions and for the first time the PAP will run as a ‘loop’. Following the tradition of previous editions, we head down the coast into the forested south-west of Western Australia and then follow the Southern Ocean east to Albany. The new loop route will then take us inland, past the Stirling Ranges and through the southern wheatbelt, before crossing through the forested hills south of Perth to rejoin the flat coastal plain as we head for home. *************************************************************************** |
