South Australia offers excellent Audax cycling. Within half an hour from the centre of Adelaide you can be cycling in the country on scenic, well paved roads with few cars. To the North is the beautiful Barossa. East gives the Adelaide Hills and Murray Plains, while South is the undulating McLaren Vale Wine Country & Fleurieu Peninsula.
South Australia Audax welcomes all to join our rides both Audax members and non-members. Coming along on a ride is the best way to see if our style of riding is right for you. To join us, please contact the ride organizer for any ride you wish to do. Please contact the ride organizer at least 3 days before the ride. The ride organizer will ensure you are well cared for and integrated into the group. A full list of rides is on this website’s Online Ride Calendar. For more general queries please contact one of our club representatives (listed below).
We are a group of keen recreational cyclists. Our rides range from 60 km or so training rides up to 1200 km epics. We have a small, dedicated, local member base with a wide range of riding abilities. In addition to the Calendar rides, members can participate in a range of permanent rides and longer raid rides (typically between capital cities).
Cycling can be a fabulous journey of learning and discovery as we find new rides and new challenges. Our group welcomes you to join us on that journey. Audax in South Australia holds regular club nights where participants can extend their cycling knowledge, share riding experiences or simply just socialise.
Audax SA Entry: You should call the ride organizer at least 48 hours before a scheduled ride; they will tell you the exact starting time and place, the entry fee, and the level of support being provided (and hence what you will need tobring). All ride organizers are listed in the on-line calendar
Permanent rides are available in South Australia for all Audax Australia members.
